Texan duo Hovvdy have hit us with a pair of brand new singles and music videos today. Our favourite, ‘Junior Day League’, is a dreamy, folky tune that makes the most of the pair’s melody writing ability. There is a hazy quality to their music that feels almost nostalgic, despite being brand new. They describe the latest cut as “about being in a daze on a fast day in a new town. Falling enamoured with the people you’re with and the setting you’re in. Letting things move around you, rather than trying to control them.” Their upcoming album, True Love, drops on October 1^st, 2021. -Dan Peeke
